These little babies are now available on five continents, from the French Alps to the surf beaches of Tahiti.
HOW EXTREME DRINKS STARTED: One afternoon in August 2001, Tim Day and Al Gosling, founder of Extreme and the Extreme Sports Channel, were in Tarifa, southern Spain. Tarifa is known for its epic wind conditions, perfect for kite surfing and windsurfing. However, that day there was virtually no wind, so with little else to do they were hanging out at the "Spin Out" bar on the beach shooting the breeze and nursing killer hangovers. While chilling in the Spanish sun and discussing life, Extreme and the recent success of another bullish drinks company, they concluded there was a gap in the drinks market and an opportunity to launch a new drinks company. Their goal was to deliver a range of natural fully "funk"tional drinks, incorporatin natural ingredients to satisfy people across any lifestyle occasion. They then spent twelve months learning about the drinks industry, developing the awesome range of drinks and launched the biz in early 2003.
EXTREME GROUP (http://www.extremeinternational.com): Extreme Group was founded by Al Gosling in 1995 and has developed through a fundamental passion for extreme sports. We believe in doing things differently, offering people something new and giving real value for money. Extreme began by selling extreme sports TV shows to channels all over the world and then went on to launch the Extreme Sports Channel in May 1999. The brand has extended into a number of other areas where we think we can make a difference. Each of our fast moving companies are run by great people who are passionate, innovative, and driven. They have the power to manage their businesses, listen to feedback and react quickly to ensure we deliver value whilst having a laugh at the same time.
